Professor Hossein Salimi delivered the opening speech at the International Conference held by the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies on 5 and 6 February 2021.

In the International Conference held online by Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies on the occasion of the 580th anniversary of the birth of Amir Ali-Shir Nava'i, Professor Hossein Salimi, ATU President delivered the opening speech about the life, works, and the important position of Nava'i.
In this event, held online on Thursday and Friday, 5-6 February 2021, rectors and ambassadors from Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey participated and Professor Salimi was the speaker of the opening session.
The conference and discussions were on the main topic of the role enacted by Ali-Shir Nava'i as an outstanding literary and scientific figure as well as a competent vizier who contributed to several civil developments during the Timurid period and connected the Persian and Turkic languages.
