Political Science
Politics is an important pillar in contemporary international relations and societies need to train knowledgable, expert graduates who are aware of the political affairs in local, national, regional, and international levels, and are able to conduct research in these fields. Department of Political Science in Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) is currently providing educational and research services at Bachelors, Masters, and PhD levels.
To date, there are 13 full-time faculty members teaching and researching in the Department. The faculty members are offering the latest advances in the areas of political science, political thought, Iran affairs, and political sociology, among others.
Degree Programmes
Below, the programmes offered in Department of Political Science are introduced and specified.
Bachelors Degree Programme
- Political Science: The Bachelors Programme in Political Science in ATU lasts for 4 years, 8 semesters, and students attend classes in each semester for a maximum of 16 weeks.
Masters Degree Programmes
- Political Science: The MA degree programme in Political Science is offered in ATU for a period of 2 years, 4 semesters.
- Political Thoughts in Islam: The MA degree programme in Political Thoughts in Islam is offered in ATU for a period of 2 years, 4 semesters. In this programme, students are trained about a plethora of political thoughts in Islam.
PhD Degree Programmes
In this Department, three degree programmes are offered in PhD level. The programmes are listed in alphabetical order. For more information on the approaches and activities in these programmes, you could correspond with the faculty members listed below.
