Dr. Majid Abbasi has been entrusted with the duties and rights of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences since November 2021. Holding a Ph.D. degree in International Relations, he is a distinguished academic figure in legal studies. Dr. Abbasi is also a faculty member at the LPS, Department of International Relations.

 

 

Dean's Message

Since its establishment in 1997, the Faculty of Law and Political Science at ATU has been growing remarkably. It is home to the most dynamic and creative discussions on teaching and research. It focuses on distinctive and excellent teaching methods through participatory teaching and interactive learning. The Faculty offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, including two Bachelors, nineteen Masters, and nine Ph.D. degree programmes. Moreover, students are given the opportunity to interact with various respected institutions in order to acquire or expand academic and practical skills. In particular, students can participate in moot competitions on national and international dispute resolution, engage actively in the law school clinic and learn how to manage an international organization. They can also benefit from their university's cooperation with numerous industries as well as reputable international and political science institutions. The goal of our Faculty is to train and prepare creative, intelligent, and talented students who can deal confidently with the real world and meet the needs of society. Our staff is experienced and committed to the success of every single student. I trust that students who join our Faculty will enjoy a friendly environment and experience a sense of being useful as a result of their efforts.
