In April 2023, ATU's Moot Court Team participated in the 2023 Jessup Competitions held in Washington, US, and had a shining presence and entered the knockout round which will be held later in 2023.
ATU's Moot Court team shines at international competitions in Washington

In April 2023, ATU's Moot Court Team participated in the 2023 Jessup Competitions held in Washington, US, and had a shining presence and entered the knockout round which will be held later in 2023. It was for the first time an Iranian moot team succeeded to be admitted into this round of the Jessup Competitions.

In this round of competitions, 657 teams qualified for the national stage, 138 qualified for the international stage, and ATU's team managed to be placed among the top 48 teams and enter the knockout round.

This team consisted of Hannaneh Jafari, Mehri Chalak, Fatemeh Naghavi, Mona Herati, and Matin Amiri, coached by Houman Heravi and Hossein Ferasatkhah, and supervised by Dr Pouria Askary.

ATU's Moot Court Team's activities are directed at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. The Jessop Moot Competition is also the oldest and most prestigious moot court competition in international law.
