Implementation of Minor Programs at Allameh Tabataba’i University

Tehran, May 2025 – Allameh Tabataba’i University has officially approved the launch of minor programs for undergraduate students, to be implemented from the 2025–2026 academic year.
According to the directive ratified by the University Council, eligible undergraduate students will be able to pursue a minor program consisting of 18–24 credits in a secondary field of study, alongside their major. The initiative is designed to foster interdisciplinary education, respond to labor market demands, and provide students with broader academic and professional competencies.
Students who complete the minor program will receive an official certificate of completion upon graduation, issued by the faculty offering the courses and endorsed by the university’s Vice President for Education.
This decision follows earlier approvals by the Graduate Studies Council and reflects the university’s broader strategy to expand academic opportunities, modernize curricula, and strengthen the role of Allameh Tabataba’i University as a leading center for the humanities and social sciences in Iran.
