Media Moot Court

The Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition or the Price Moot, in short, is held at Regional and global levels. The competition focuses on international media law and related human-rights problems. The competition is held annually at Oxford University. Nowadays, several issues related to human rights in various societies and the balance between different instances of human rights in medias are considered as international issue.
The Price Media Moot Court Team at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) started its activities since 2017.
In the 2017 annual round, ATU team was announced as one of the best teams in West Asia round and qualified to the Final round in Oxford University. The team consisted oh the following members: Fatemeh Sarkhil, Forough Ghasemzadeh, Yasaman-Sadat Mirafshariyeh, Seyed Amirmohammad Arjmand, and Bahareh Gholizadeh. The 2017 team was coached by Monir Ahmadi and Saeed Kaveh.
In the 2018 annual round, ATU team was, for the second time, announced as one of the best teams in West Asia round and was qualified to enter the Final round in Oxford University. The team won the Johnathan Blake award in Middle East round for its young members. The 2018 team consisted of Amir Mohammad Davoodi, Narges Jokar, and Helia Tahanha and was coach by Fatemeh Sarkheil.
In the 2020 annual round, ATU team was, for the third time, announced as one of the best teams in West Asia round and was qualified to the Final round in Oxford. The team was also announced as Second Runner-Up in the Middle East round. In the final round, which was held online, ATU team was placed 11 among best universities in the world. The 2020 team included Mohadeseh Asgari, Ghazal Ramezani, Ali Zohreh, and Mohammad-Sadegh Kazzazi as its members. The coach of the 2020 year team was Forough Ghasemzadeh.
