Iranian Administrative Trial Moot Court
The Iranian Administrative Trial Moot Court Competition was founded in 2018 by Allameh Tabataba’i University with cooperation of the Iranian Administrative Justice Court. The idea of founding the competition was to spread the knowledge of administrative justice in Iran among the Iranian students.
Iranian Administrative Justice Court was founded based on the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran to ensure administrative justice in Iran. In this regard, familiarity with the process of this Court is essential for law students and specifically public law students.
The Idea of founding this competition was brought up by Dr Vahid Agah, assistant professor at ATU and he was the competition secretary in the both rounds and managed the competitions with support of the law students scientific association at ATU where Mr Ali Zohreh (student of Public Law at ATU) was the Secretary.
In the first annual competition in 2018, 64 teams and 260 law students from 27 different universities from the whole country participated. From them, 18 teams were qualified to enter the second round of the competitions.
Finally, team of the Islamic Azad University from Shahr-e-Ghods branch was announced as winner of the competitions and also the best memorial prize. This team was formed as follows: Amirhossein Asgharian, Farshad Salimi, Mohammad Mehdi Husseiny, Mohammad Yazdan Mehr (coach).
ATU Team consisted of the following students: Mohammad Hussein Sharif, Davar Derakhshan, Mohammad Najafi, Forough Ghasemzade (coach). Furthermore, Aysan Golmohammadi from ATU and Amirhossein Asgharian from Islamic Azad University, Shahr-e-Ghods branch won jointly the Best Mooter award and a team from University of Tehran won the Spiritual award.
In the 2nd annual competition held in 2019, 55 teams from 24 different universities participated and 4 teams were qualified to enter the second round of the competitions.
In this round, ATU Team was announced as the winner and also received the Best Memorial award. Members of the team inlcuded Parmis Mirdar Harijani, Masoumeh Ardeshir Zavardehi, Amir Heydari, and Abdollah Abbasi Firouzjah (coach). The second team of ATU was also formed with Aysa Golmaohammadi, Erfan Hajbabai, Mohammadreza Bayat. Moreover, Ms Parmis Mirdar Harijani won the Best Mooter prize.
