Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages was founded in May 1983, by merging several schools, colleges, and higher education centers, such as School of Translation, College of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages, Damavand College, and Iran Research Center. It started its educational and research activities with the aim of providing credible instruction in Persian language and literature and language studies. Presently, the faculty has 2165 students at B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. levels.
