Relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States have been formed almost since the establishment of the Al Saud regime. The main reason for the strengthening of these relations is the two important and influential factors of buying and selling military weapons and oil. During the years of the Obama and Trump administrations, the friendly and cooperative relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia were affected by significant changes and developments. In this thesis, we examine the differences and commonalities of the US foreign policy towards Saudi Arabia in the two periods of the aforementioned administration. Due to the change in the political and geographical command of the region, these two periods show differences and correlations in terms of foreign policy. The relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America entered into new challenges with the beginning of Obama's presidency, which had various causes, including the announcement of Obama's position against the violation of human rights in Saudi Arabia and the negotiation of the United States with Saudi Arabia's regional rivals, etc. But Trump saw Saudi Arabia as a rich country that this wealth should be at the service of Trump's commercial policies for the re-prosperity of the American economy, and issues such as human rights, promotion of democracy, etc. were of secondary importance, and in this regard, significant political concessions. gave to Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi government in the region.
